Upworthy just posted a whole "fake dumb transphobic super straight movement" thing on FB and the comments were such a confused mix of "obviously genitals are irrelevant to sexuality, to say otherwise would be transphobic" and "obviously genitals are key to sexuality, you don't have to make a thing about it, methinks you do protest too much! internalized transphobia...?"

People are just all over the place.

I wonder if it would help to make some kind of numerical system or something, a scale of trans ideology... Like 1-10 where at 1 you think people can play sports and expect to date people as soon as you identify, whereas at 10 you don't believe gender exists at all, and at 5 it's more like, once you are taking hormones and planning on surgery, you're using bathrooms and entering beauty pageants but not competing in women's sports... I guess harder issue would be whether the overlap would be the same. So much would depend on how you word things since it's all about getting the "right" answer :(

I just like to say something to them like, "I'm gay, and my husband and I want to have a baby. I keep trying to impregnate him, but we're not having any luck. Since biological sex isn't real, I figure it doesn't matter that we're both male, right?"
