The real reason I specifically mentioned FSE is that it's filled with the "special" types that I think Saidit users would probably get along with. I use a different instance, which I'm not mentioning because I don't want Saidit users shitting it up.

No, I dislike it because it's another right-wing shithole filled with science deniers. That was actually my first fediverse instance, because I joined when they did federate, but left before they stopped because I was just fed up with it.
