Let's not become an echochamber. This site was originally called Anti-Extremes, and it was equally opposed to right-wing radicalization. Various users see that the left-right political spectrum is a tool used by elites to divide people (although I wonder how many of those are still active). My impression of /u/HemaTomato is that he acts in good faith. He talks about his personal life and seems to have knowledge on various subjects. He just has different views than us on various things and isn't afraid to speak them. And we should encourage him to do so. That's what this website's very slogan is about, after all. This way we can have healthy debate and perhaps learn a thing or two from each other. I feel like the pyramid of debate hasn't been relevant because we all have the same general perspective on how the world works. But now's the time to show that we can still abide by it. Let's value argumentation skills and respect people's right to disagree.

By the way, the ChatGPT nonsense is posted by Fedward, he just alternates accounts.

This is different.

This new wave of trolls happened just as we are facing one of the biggest DDOS attacks on saidit that made it so the protection system affected heavily the usability of the website

add to the fact their tactics are different. They're heavily upvoting themselves, they know how to argue with people, a bunch of them came at the same time. Hell, a bunch of them probably upvoted you here too since you're the only trusted user of the website to actually argue with me in defense of them.

Even magnora stepped up to fix some of the instability.

I don't want Saidit to become a echo chamber too... but it's not? The only subject that unites the website as a whole is trans skepticism but everything else the users fight a lot on. It's more or less impossible for it to become a echo chamber because magnora only deletes call to violence.

Remember that if they wanted they could create their own echo chamber community (like /s/wayofthebern or /s/lgbdropthet ) and stay away from the other users... but they actively choose to disrupt discusison.

Talk any opinion about anything and these guys will come to you just like I described in the post. I think they put a lot of users on a list already.

You should take off your "echo chamber" glasses and look at the situation on how it really is.

Have you actually read the post history of those new 10 day old accounts????!!!!

Well, I assumed your post was a reaction to the controversy around /u/HemaTomato. Two users have threatened to leave if we tolerate him in chat. Maybe we're talking about something different.

Regardless, users from /s/wayofthebern slipping into the other parts of the website does not equate to disruption. So long as they act in good faith, it should be fine.
