What searchability, the search is broken.

What searchability, the search is broken.

Exactly.

At present you can't search very well for "Canada" while Google and others don't let you use their engines well.

Thus, you can go to the topical subs and find topical content. You're not going to find much on sports in /s/Conspiracy.

Also, perhaps one magical day, SaidIt might have a search worth using, and having content pre-sorted can't hurt.

When I leave SaidIt for good, I will fully give up on it. Until then, I'll still do my best to make it a resource worth sharing and referencing.

I don't think people generally go to the subs and read historical posts, it's not really well suited to archival.

Generally no.

But people do. I often binge catchups on topics.

SaidIt is not suited for archiving because there are no metatags, poor search options, and too many are lazy shitty posters. Those aren't excuses to stop trying to improve things.

I agree with you, but there are other reasons at play here to stop trying to improve things and just enjoy what we have. M7 is too busy to develop the site, and most everyone else here saw what happened with D3 so nobody is lining up to offer their service.
