You know what made reddit shitty? It wasn't the dev team (they were shitty too), it wasn't the website flaws, and it wasn't the banwave of censorship. It was the people. It was you guys.

I think this is an excellent example of why this site is so much better. If you were to say this on reddit there's absolutely no doubt that you'd be permabanned, and before that happened you can bet that the crowd of tolerance would crawl through your post history in the hopes of being able to find your employer/family and tell them how much of a naughty boy you've been on the internet.

Yeah, I just got site wide shadow banned by a power mod from my Reddit alt I made after purging my original account. All I got banned for was pointing out misinformation which wasn’t even a matter of opinion, just fact. I’m not making another account there and giving them the traffic.

I think it's time to give up on reddit, it's a lost cause. The few subs I follow have really diminished since the ban wave. Once we have a platform with optional moderation things can be built properly.
