Believe it or not criminals/public figures/celebrities are very common targets for schizos to project their insanity onto, either as the perpetrator in the very common phenomenon of false confessions, or as the victim. These delusions are often sexual and often involve strange seemingly unrelated religious or ideological actions in addition to a more normal and plausible action, such as the “baptism” as part of a sexual assault in this case.
