What the actual fuck. Why are they going past random houses and shooting at people on their porch? This doesn't restore order, this just reinforces the idea there is a huge police violence problem.

I wonder why don't they go after rioters and looters and instead go after people in their own property? It just says that decent people will now have to protect themselves from two sides.

They are totally trained and capable of assessing real threats--which this lady was clearly not--unless they are hopped up on roids and speed and powertrips, I guess.

It's not good. But how I see it, some people in power want martial law, and it's better to implement the control mechanism of fear, in order to stop this, than to slide down that slipper slope where it will actually take root. Now the question becomes, are they nipping it in the bud? Or is this meant to insight martial law? Sadly I feel that no matter what they try to do to control the chaos, the perception of these actions can be weaponized.
It like holding a paper clip on the blade of the knife, the harder you try to hold it, the more your hand shakes. With that in mind. Do yourself a favor everyone, if the internet is overwhelming you, unplug. Turn off your modem, and leave your phone at home in a drawer. You aren't missing anything important if you shut it down for a day or two.

Well there's some interesting discussion to read, and there's so many people posting and voting in the thread (at least early on) that it overwhelmed any shill efforts pretty obviously, so it was nice to read for a moment.

I think having the most information available to everyone, is more important than the whole "reddit vs saidit" thing, tbh. They can both be used concurrently, but they each have their strengths and weaknesses
