For those who don't want to watch the 48 second video, here's what happened:

3 cops are gathered around a man on his knees about 15 feet away. They are facing each other. It's being filmed from inside a neighboring house. 2-3 cops open fire simultaneously and fire about 11 rounds in a short time. The man on his knees falls to the ground.

It looked far more like an execution than any sort of self-defense situation.

I am disgusted. This is dystopian. The police claim he had a piece of rebar and was threatening people, as if that justifies this nonsense.

What the hell. What are the facts? What is with these 3 different narratives? Seems more likely he had something he was stabbing or hitting with, and saying he had a gun was just a justification to kill him.

Armed means any weapon. A knife would cover both.

"armed" article says this:

One responding Houston police officer spotted the suspect and reported shots fired over the radio,

So it is specifically both gun and knife

he waved both his empty hands at them. Unless you are Mike Tyson or pro MMA, your hands are not legally a deadly weapon
