Meh it’s stupid but it’s pretty petty and inconsequential so I’ll choose to not care.
There was an outcry in Canadian universities last year over the faculty members using the word “chief” in their job titles. First Nations students said it was appropriating the word chief used by tribal leaders.... despite the fact that no aboriginal language uses the word chief and that the word itself is rooted in old French chef for leader....
