I listened to an independent movie reviewer discuss this. In SEC filings, Disney mentioned they didn't include the purchase price of LucasFilms in the numbers. Some obvious cooking-of-the-books.

With "hollywood accounting", you can make just about anything appear profitable, or unprofitable.
