Alex Moyer has now made two movies in a row, TFW No GF and Alex’s War, that sound too much like journalism for today’s media. Moyer was criticized for not planting enough signs telling them — and audiences — what to think about disaffected loner men. It's a about alienation, just like Taxi Driver.

Our reality is, to a degree, simulated. First they create the circumstances under which mass shootings will seem normal, and then we start seeing those occur. But the one mass shooting after the other turns out to be fake. I'm sure there are real ones too, but the waters have become so muddied. At this point, it's just as artificial as islamic terrorism. It's a bogeyman, in this case to confiscate people's guns.
