I like this movie and Oblivion too.

Me too, me too. For its budget it captures a certain mood exceptionally well.

Brilliant both.

Much different than student films, yet well executed with modest modern budgets doing much with little. /s/Filmmaking/comments/6jyt/dont_touch_the_fish_why_student_films_fail_838_in/

Informative. I still try to get a loose short story of mine into a more scenic book-like style of writing so it actually could be made as an animation movie.

Inspire me and I might help you make that happen! (The shorter the better, except in rare cases.)

The main character is a robot. I still am working on the blender model i have of her most days after i have done the work that pays my bread.

Fantastic!

Great that you're not only designing it yourself but you're building it in 3D. Lemme know if you seek design help. I can sketch diverse ideas quickly to be narrowed down to a clear concept or few.

I know/knew many of the old professional 3D packages well but have yet to delve into Blender. When I finish my first draft I'll be trying to go 100% open source, including Blender. I'll be needing everything from the banal stuff you'd find in any suburb to nature to a classic Thunderbird car to a tall ship to my custom designs.
