It's way too early for an accusation like that, considering that Tucker hasn't actually interviewed Putin yet.

Obviously the concern is that Tucker is going to pitch him softball after softball in order to stir up opposition to aid packages to Ukraine.

If he does that, that isn't really journalism. A journalist's job is to ask questions the people need to hear the answers to, not to be the hype-man for their interviewee.

On the other hand though, he's got to be careful because he might end up falling out of a loose upper story window or something if Putin decides the questions are a little too hardball.
