did you get the idea for /s/whatever from Voat? Don't remember that being a subreddit over at Reddit. I suppose the downvote equivalent here is a no vote because not all things you disagree with are funny.

It was called /r/reddit.com, and it was deleted. You're right about the no vote; if you ignore the things you don't like, you don't feed the trolls. It's really quite clever.

I must've, yeah. I just like having a catch-all dumping ground for random stuff, especially for early on here.

You're correct that the downvote equivalent here is a no-vote, because a fun vote gives +1 and a insightful vote gives +2 karma, so the worst you can give is +0 by ignoring it. Or you can report it to mods if it really doesn't belong
