Long ago we had the September Effect. It was early on in Internet history when a lot of kids had no computer at home, but when they arrived as freshmen on campus there were huge rooms full of computers and wired to the Internet. It was a royal pain to have our Internet invaded by millions of newbs. It lasted a few years.

I never finished the 9th grade.

Also, I don't see what that has to do with August. Are these students doing something differently in late May, June, or July?
