When I read stories like this, I always wonder what was so bad about her previous home life that running away with a reddit perv seemed like a good idea. They never talk about that part.

Edit: Well how about that. For once I actually find out the answer. It seems her mother couldn't provide for her, had been homeless previously, and she feared it was about to happen again.

I remember cyberpunk 2077 had a side quest that went like the one in this story. The child lived with a single mother of 3 (father killed himself, tbf she looks like an old hag).

Basically had this website that took advantage of insecurities any child could have. "I understand you" "you're special" etc. It was bound to work with someone.

I don't know about this one in particular, but it didn't look like a horrible home in the game. It wasn't perfect but wasn't the end of the world either.
