I strongly suspect there's an effort to replicate the censorship here, in part by enforcing the notion that in and of themselves, words have the power to injure.
The key to maintaining a truly alternative forum is for people to practice the fine art of disagreeing both peacefully and respectfully. This is an extraordinary challenge.

Good thing the new reddit joins who want to recreate the reddit hellscape here that they fled from don't realize there's not even anyone around to implement such changes even if they wanted to. 😂

I was low key flamed for being polite in my counterpoints and called "whiney" by someone who was whining about the lack of censorship here.
VERY typical tactic in the discussion to that of Reddit's radical leftism where the orthodox stance (words are harmful) was presented as incontrovertible fact and any differing with it was delusional. The irritation expressed at the inability (to that point) for OP to get a rise out of me confirmed my sense that it was not a good faith discussion and needed to be called out. My final response was considerably less courteous.

Yup, I remember those tactics from Reddit. Good thing they don't work so well here. They're such awful people to engage in that way. It's so disingenuous. And some think we should want more of their ilk here. No thanks, let us stay untouched by that psychic corruption.
