The UK recently shut down their whole paedo therapy program because it was causing them to offend more. https://archive.ph/2022.07.20-080037/https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/904da92c-59e1-11e7-ad31-8e588690cd15?shareToken=02d58642ee9ebb46d5b85004e322d99e

These people have cluster b personality disorders, there simply isn't therapy which can help that. Rather therapy just makes them learn how to manipulate better and believe they deserve sympathy. The only cure is taking responsibility for your actions. Punishment helps with that more than talking.

eeeeesh. UK also won't prosecute rape gangs because they don't want to be racist. Maybe proof from a country that doesn't literally coddle babyrapers as a national policy would be more credible, but thanks for the link

LOL

The programmes involve discussions to help sex offenders to understand their crimes. The courses claim to increase awareness of victim harm and help to stop reoffending.

hm yes let me tell people who get off on hurting the innocent how their actions hurt the innocent, surely this will reduce recidivism!

“They weren’t adapting the course in line with developing knowledge and many of those delivering the programme were not qualified.” Rather than being qualified therapists, most SOTP facilitators were chaplains, ordinary prison officers and other “para-professionals”.

yikes

Woodchipper therapy works well.

Have you any links on the therapy and cluster B? I know someone who was quite recently diagnosed with BPD and your description describes them to a tee. Therapy only ever made him worse and he moved from therapist to therapist getting better and better at manipulate the sessions to get the types of diagnosis that excused his behavior and medications. While getting to cast everyone who gave up on trying to help him as the bad guy because he has an illness.
