Polyamory is a really tricky lifestyle, there's a number of pitfalls that are easy to fall into. I personally think of this one as the Shiny New Toy problem. Pretty much the plot of Toy Story 2, the person is experiencing what polyamorists call New Relationship Energy with the new partner, the heady feeling of falling in love and getting to know someone new, and they can sometimes end up neglecting their old partner.

Frankly, that's not Polyamory done well, but it happens. Related are "Cowboys," guys who enter into poly relationships with the intention of stealing the woman away. This might be a cowboy situation.

Men get the short end of the stick usually in poly, it's really easy for women to find partners, not so much for men. So it's not uncommon for women to have or have had several partners while the guy has nobody and receives less attention overall.

So it's just the wife fucking other dudes, which is obviously not ideal. But if this dude had a girlfriend he'd probably feel a lot better about the situation.

It doesn't have to be bad though, my ex and I had a de facto poly relationship after we broke up, all 3 of us just got along really well and nobody was particularly jealous. That was pretty awesome.

And now although my wife isn't down with me fucking anyone else, she is okay with me forming close emotional relationships with other women, something that is sometimes viewed as "emotional cheating."

Your mind being unable to grasp something doesn't mean it isn't real. There are very real consequences to putting your dick into someone and vice-versa. The souls intermix, the karma becomes shared. The more you have partners, and much more so concurrent partners, the more your life and soul become burdened with foreign, unrelated karma, which traps your mind and soul ever more. All for the pleasure granted, for addiction purposes, by the parasites fed with your own life-creation energy through such sexuality. Religion, especially Christianity, is right except not for the reasons you might think.

But since your mind is too limited, you don't realize this, and in your indigent degeneracy, you think it's all fine.

Man an woman bonded to create families. This has been the case for 10,000s of years. The shit your espousing is just hedonistic autism. I see this as further destruction of western values.

Polyamory is older than marriage since the latter is a constructed institution that didn't always exist. If it hadn't been a serious threat to marriage before, I don't see why it would be now.

One of the things I've noticed is that women who are away from their partners for significant amounts of time, like in the military, oil rig workers, long distance relationships, workaholics, etc, generally don't stay faithful. Perhaps you've heard of the much maligned Jody who takes care of neglected military wives.

So what are your options here

  • she cheats, doesn't tell you, and you live blissfully unaware
  • she cheats, doesn't tell you, and you find out anyways
  • she cheats, tells you, and you always have to live with a betrayal
  • she cheats, tells you, and you divorce her ass
  • she doesn't cheat, but you are never certain because this is probably more rare than people want to think about

Monogamy is hardly perfect.
