So do we think this is a way to add their malware to the reddit app, or is reddit actually trying to integrate this somehow?
The decisions at reddit as a company just baffle me. I get the censorship crackdown if they're looking to pay the price for control of information and influence, but it sure didn't help their user numbers or credibility. Even their apolitical subs seem less active since they cracked down.
As for that redesign a few years ago, it absolutely baffles me. It made their platform basically unusable for reading, and just forced everyone to use the old layout.

China bought shares in Reddit so it's definitely going to have spyware.
The mod tools only work properly in new reddit too, which was awful.
