It is a great quote though! I have a notepad full of good quotes for this year that I read from time to time, I have Zappa quotes in there too! He's (allegedly) said a lot of good stuff, he also has a book that has some great stuff in it too! This quote is from his book:

“Without deviation from the norm, progress is not possible.” ― Frank Zappa

I really disliked Zappa as a kid, but when I re-listened after I got older, I appreciated his stuff a lot.

Yes, he was a, erm, challenging character. I went to a show of his back in the day, and he sat in a chair with his back to the audience for the whole show.

Anyone who would name their kids Dweezil and Moon Unit was definitely committed to their fsociety motto!
