Weird; SaidIt isn't showing a tab above the video next to the "comments tab" saying the link was shared anywhere on the website before - it didn't when I went to post it either, however your link appears to be from 20+ hrs earlier?

(Not my OP, but I saw it, and I thought if folks were commenting they might want the option to join in where the action is/was.)

In my experience it tells you if you're posting a link again to the same sub.

If that's changed to site-wide, that's new to me, and might be terrifically helpful.

Maybe /u/magnora7 and/or /u/d3rr have ideas on this.

Hmm, maybe I'm wrong and it just is in SubSaidIts, I could have sworn it was site-wide..

Nope! It is a site-wide feature! For whatever reason, it was glitching (maybe the URL wasn't exactly the same, i.e., one was shortened and the other the full URL?), check this out:

I just submitted this, and look in the tab on the top, next to comments, "other discussions"

So SaidIt does do this site-wide! I don't know why it didn't do it in this instance.

If it is site wide that's news to me - and it's glitching. I posted a Corbett video, got no warning, then shortly after saw it was already in /s/all so I deleted mine (still without comments or votes). The search is terrible too. I often search to see if it's already been posted, especially Corbett, and it's rarely helpful.

Oh neat! I never saw the "other discussions" before.
