"China lies about their illness stats!" the media has been saying.

Now that the shoe is on the other foot, suddenly it's reasonable, according to the mainstream media.

I wish the media wasn't so hypocritical all the time, and would actually take the CDC to task over things like this.

Also, if they're downplaying stats like this, then that means things are a little out of control. Which makes sense, because the US basically has zero border control things in place regarding disease. Every airport should have the people walk past thermal sensors like they do in Japan, so they can easily screen people with fevers. Instead they just pretended like it was fine, and now it's spreading super-rapidly, and we're beyond the phase where we can track the progression of it to individual carriers because too many people have it.

I read 7 in the US have died now. I think 2 days ago the US total deaths was 1.

It sounds a hell of a lot like a meme.

It should be called the Hunan Flu.

To be honest, they are still reporting aggregate numbers in the USA, just not totals by state on that map.

And, whatever they're reporting isn't really accurate since the CDC has been denying ER doctors like this one from NYC the chance to test potentially positive patients.. All over the country. It's March and we've hardly testing any suspected patients.

The NYC ER Doctor calls what the CDC is doing a "National Scandal" and tells everyone not believe the false reassurances of the CDC and media in the video, multiple times, whenever he got a chance to speak.
