I think since most of us here are of the opinion that it's frustrating for bisexual women or non-lesbians of other categories to be the main ones speaking on behalf of lesbians, the fairest thing on topics like this is to centre black lesbian opinions.

Obviously I don't know the race of people on here and we can't verify lol but the idea that it may be only non-black commenters expressing whether it's right or wrong makes me uncomfortable. It's an interesting question, I just think we should be specifying in the conversation if these are standpoints coming from eg a black american, white american, person of colour in a society that doesn't use these terms etc

Funny you say this because I'm actually of color and speak of this in a few post but my comment is at the bottom of this thread. However, one thing we(black and other woc) know that is the lesbian community is pretty racist so my voice being drowned out even though I live/lived the experience is common. "White women stay winning".
