Rules
These are the rules that our subscribers and visitors must follow in order to participate. Violations of these rules can result in a ban from Lesbians
No content posted by people who are not female-sex AND lesbian (biological woman exclusively attracted to biological women).
Lesbians will not be permitting participation by non-lesbian or transgender people. Non-lesbian in this case means anyone who is not a biological woman exclusively attracted to biological women. Partners of trans woman are considered bisexual in this space. All people who are trans or who identify as something other than 'lesbian' are encouraged to go somewhere else.
No criticism of sexual boundaries
"Sexual boundaries" means a description of any circumstances under which a person is not willing to engage in a relationship and/or sex.
Suggesting that others' sexual boundaries are closed-minded, bigoted, or otherwise wrong is not permitted here.
Suggesting that others should change, or re-examine with the intent of changing, their sexual boundaries is also considered criticism and is not permitted.
No slurs or pejoratives.
No content referencing users with slurs or pejoratives. These will be removed and the OP will be asked to remove the reference before it can be approved. Repeat offenses will lead to a ban.
Slurs and pejorative language include but are not limited to ‘TERF’, 'tranny', etc. and the moderating team reserve the right to evaluate language on a case by case basis.
Insults, name calling, ad hominem attacks, and other language used specifically to derail discussion or target another user will not be tolerated.
Use of 'cis' or 'cisgender' is okay as long as it not being used as a slur, e.g. referring to yourself as 'cis' if fine, but forcing that label on another woman is not. Basically, just don't call any other woman on Lesbians 'cis' or 'cisgender'.
No brigading or vote manipulation.

No pornography.
Lesbians is not and does not desire to become a 18+ subreddit.
NSFW posts are okay as long as they are not pornography and they are marked as NSFW.
No content questioning one's lesbian orientation.
Posts like 'how do you know you're a lesbian?' or 'when did you know?' are okay, but posts like 'What am I?' or 'Help! I'm starting to think I'm not a lesbian' should be taken elsewhere.
If you're not sure of your orientation and want to know how other women here figured this out posts like 'how did you know?' are fine. The spirit of this rule is that we cannot tell you what you are. So posts like 'what am I?' and other posts questioning your orientation are not allowed.
Policy on gender-critical content
Gender-critical or trans-critical content, if it is lacking a lesbian-focus or lacking relevance to the lesbian community, will be removed and the submitter will be subject to consequences of rule violations;
If it has a lesbian focus or is relevant to the lesbian community then it is welcome and will not be removed and this rule will not be considered violated.

No derailing or hijacking
Derailing/Hijacking is posting a comment to another subscriber's thread that changes the topic of discussion from the OP's topic to that of the comment. This often leads to the original discussion shutting down whilst the new discussion continues. This will not be permitted here.
No attacks, insults, or reciprocation
Do not attack, mock, or otherwise insult other subscribers. You can disagree with the OP of a topic or a commenter, but you cannot attack them.
If you are attacked by another subscriber please use the report button instead of reciprocating. If you reciprocate, you will be in violation of this rule the same as your attacker.
