Thanks for sharing your thoughts! You're right, there seems to be a sizeable anti-meme crowd on s/LGBDroptheT, although some of us over there are fans. I was thinking it might make the most sense to just go with looser guidelines at first, then check in in a few months (or sooner if needed) to see if people want the rules to change. Unfortunately I got a lot busier shortly after I started this sub... aiming to open it up and post some examples in the next week or so.
