same, just joined. i saw r/rightwinglgbt got banned which was pretty disappointing. it seems difficult to find lgbt-focused places to chat that aren't beholden to the most outlandish parts of idpol

What do you mean by "idpol"?

identity politics! i don't know the definition, only a vague idea. something to do with microlabels and privilege i think.

Identity politics is view that your political position is determined by your immutable characteristics (race, sex, and so on). It is the most awful illiberal ideology. Its adherents seem to think identity politics is good when non-white people do it and bad when white people do it. They are all a bunch of bigots.

r/rightwinglgbt was my top sub on reddit by karma, and even GC was my #4 for one relationship advice comment worth over 200 points! I went to r/uncensoredlgbt and left for Ruqqus +LGBT with its mods when that sub was unjustly banned.

Hey guys, hopefully this can be like the r/LGBT use to be. People should be able to talk about subjects related to them without the fear of being rejected/banded for having a different option.

So, does this subreddit allow opposing opinions?

Edit: Oh wait, I'm a dumbass. The subreddit didn't say anything about removing opposing opinions in the sidebar, haha.

I like the main site rule 'Mods cannot remove user comments that are both in good faith and on-topic.'

edit: The amount of comments I've seen deleted/band because a lesbian wants to talk about vagina without penis being involved is amazing. Hopefully with that site rule, people can actually discuss the topics they want to without being hushed.
