I was just reading this article from about a week ago, and I feel like it's not really saying or telling us anything except "be afraid, be very afraid". To me it reads as now-corporate media insinuating and trying to get us anxious and worked up about ... absolutely nothing.

It gives statistics of 60-70 percent of couples feeling happy, safe, and secure, while 25 percent are being especially proactive about securing family and legal rights. And non-LGB public support remains at all time highs for same-sex marriage and relationship equality.

They then also go on to say more traditionally conservative people (republicans and weekly churchgoers) don't support us ... because they're at 49% or 41% positive. And even though the Respect For Marriage Act was signed into federal law and supersedes the supreme court, we LGB need still to be very concerned about the one justice who was very outwardly speaking about overturning our rights after Roe-v-Wade.

I think gay rights will continue to be a smokescreen for the elite. They need to keep us on our toes so we don't pay attention to wealth inequality. Our rights are also pretty effective to radicalize people. As long as gay people are threatened you are a monster if you dare to vote conservative.

As long as gay rights can be abolished or there is an international conflict somewhere, people won't pay attention to the real issues. Maybe gay marriage is relatively secure right now, but I think they will find a way to make it precarious. The chunk of meat between two pirhana schools.
