On the one hand, that's a bunch of bigoted nonsense. On the other hand, I actually am an emotionally fragile nonbinary person with lots of baggage and mental health issues. At least I'm not boring though.

Then

Luckily my husband was in the market for one of those 🙃

Lol that almost makes me more uncomfortable.

Their husband was looking for someone to abuse?

I tend to avoid a lot of queer spaces that are predominantly cis for this exact reason. It really sucks feeling unsafe in a place where many people pretend to ooze acceptance.

I have an idea that you're going to LOVE. Here it goes...

LGB//TQ+

I just read Eliot Page's crapauds autobiography where she complains about too many gay bars catering to 'cis gay men'. Same energy.

I love how they feel "unsafe" simply because people in the spaces they're invading don't want to date/sleep with them.

I find it funny when these people argue that the majority of LGB people support the Ts, and those that are anti trans LGBs are just right wing trolls that are trying to divide the community. To then turn around, and admit they avoid cis queer(By queer they mean actual gay people.)spaces because of transphobia. This is how you know the main LGBT subreddits are just echo chambers full of spicy straight people and TIPs

I mean maybe the guy was a bit mean painting all non binary people with the same brush...but I agree. Nowadays it's a crime to be a regular guy. Its a crime to blend in with the crowd, you have to praise fragile attention seekers and pretend they are better than ordinary masculine men. If you are gay you must love standing out, being a freak for the rest of your life.

If you're not dangerous, it behooves you to demonstrate that actively, not to expect an oppressed minority to disable a hard learned survival skill for your comfort

Kinda like...women not wanting men in women's spaces? Because of life lessons we've learned about keeping safe? Like that?

They may have a point though. What does it even mean to "prefer guys who are guys"? Are feminine/effeminate guys somehow not even guys? I don't get it.

Unless they are actually talking about women. Because who really knows nowadays?..

I think many gay men have been brainwashed by traditional gender ideology where you need to be masculine to be considered a man. It's the same shit my parents and grandparents repeated over and over.

In order to leave that homophobic hole and live my own life I had to understand what homosexuality really is. After a lot of introspection I understood my sexuality is first and foremost same sex attraction, and masculinity and femininity are just preferences. It's ok to prefer a certain aesthetic, personality or body type but that's not the most important thing.

Many gay guys never did this mental work and they are still trapped in a web of gender bullshit.
