Top and Bottom as nouns are already unhelpful enough in the gay community, I don't think we should be exporting that. Topping and bottoming can be verbs very easily, just to point out, but identifying as a Top or as a Bottom can be restrictive to one's thinking. There are lots of ways to enjoy sexual pleasure with someone that aren't anal.

While it can be debatable that top/bottom is unhelpful in the community, it doesn't help when straight people (esp women) are using it in place of dom, and sub. Thus, bringing back stereotypes. Being top =/= dominant, nor does bottom = submissive. Which is how I've been seeing it used.

Now, if we could just overall just drop the terms? Sure. At least no one gets to use it ig. But, realistically that isn't going to happen, because some gay men DO find it helpful in partners, convos, etc.

Sure, but we're not talking about other sexual acts. We're talking about top/bottom. Outside of that, could just be labeled as sub, dom, and switch if desired.
