Idk I think it's more brainwashing and hive mind than misogyny. At this point there are a lot of people demonizing jk rowling because its the approved narrative if you want to be on the right side of history. I saw a lot of misogyny towards her but usually comes from trans people expressing how they feel so betrayed before spouting some gross misogyny. As if the previous rant justified it.

Anyways I think christianity and the bible cause a lot more harm to gay people and they don't receive as much attention from these righteous warriors as jk rowling is receiving right now...its ridiculous. I haven't to think very hard to name male people causing infinitely more harm to gay people than jk rowling ever could (if she wanted). I used to be a jehovah witness and I attended many conventions and online meetings with the worst homophobic talking points. Nobody ever did anything about it. I doubt people from outside know the true face of the religion.
