As a gay man myself, I read that thinking, "Other than Anne Rice, what is any of this stuff she's talking about?"

Comics, anime or online fandoms that fantasize about relationships between two (usually hetero) males, such as Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy......

Yaoi; The anime, fan fics and fan art usually depict an overly romanticized version of gay relationships, at least that's what I gather. The men will have behaviors that resemble blushing school girls. (I'm a lesbian, so I'm not fully in the know but I'm simply parroting what I've read of gay men who say that Yaoi is very unrealistic). A fan of the media is called a Weeb, the way Star Trek fans are called Trekkies.

As for the TIMs, they watch mass amounts of hentai/anime porn and imagine themselves as the female before one day declaring themselves as trans and give themselves anime avatars.

This is somewhat hilarious.

Reminds me of LiveJournal's slash community.
