She calls the man she's with her "cis gay partner" in this post, but 4 months ago she was referring to him as bi 1.

So what's the truth? Are you dating a bi guy who only wanted a tomboy GF he could placate with pronouns or did your crazy ass latch on to a closeted gay man who is trying to squirm away from you because you'll go nuclear if he tries to make a clean break?

None of the above. There is no partner. There is only Tumblr.

Yes I think a lot of them just lie

Nice catch. Makes me question why I ever take anything that they say seriously... if they're just gonna go changing the details of their personal histories whenever it's convenient, why should I??

As a gay man myself, I read that thinking, "Other than Anne Rice, what is any of this stuff she's talking about?"

Probably manga.

Comics, anime or online fandoms that fantasize about relationships between two (usually hetero) males, such as Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy......

Yaoi; The anime, fan fics and fan art usually depict an overly romanticized version of gay relationships, at least that's what I gather. The men will have behaviors that resemble blushing school girls. (I'm a lesbian, so I'm not fully in the know but I'm simply parroting what I've read of gay men who say that Yaoi is very unrealistic). A fan of the media is called a Weeb, the way Star Trek fans are called Trekkies.

As for the TIMs, they watch mass amounts of hentai/anime porn and imagine themselves as the female before one day declaring themselves as trans and give themselves anime avatars.

This is somewhat hilarious.

Reminds me of LiveJournal's slash community.

Lmao is this really a female yaoi enthusiast complaining about yaoi enthusiasts? I'm Not Like The Other Girls(TM), 2022 edition.

I actually think there's a lot of badass mlm content created by women

Oh, so you are okay with women speaking for gay men. Got it.

but I almost exclusively engage with that stuff with my cis gay partner of 7 years,

He's not gay if he's attracted to women.

It's just a much more healthy vibe than the rabid fandom / tumblr energy that I apparently can't escape online.

Well, I do believe her there.
