Well, it wasn't a ban but it was pretty close (I got suspended eventually, anyway) Basically, I was talking about programming and computers and related stuff with someone, and at some point, I assumed that person was a woman (her avatar was a typical woman's one) It was on r/askreddit.

She went apeshit crazy at me telling me again and again that she is non-binary, not a woman. I ignored that and continued talking until I mentioned "LGB" at some point where she went even crazier than before and completely lost her marbles, she even went to a point where she used the chat just to tell me that she is an enby or whatever, not a woman.

It was insane, some other woman joined the discussion and used the right "name" for her and she was like "Yes! Yes! I'm a non-binary, not a woman. You got it right, thank you!!!" Lmao.

In the end, I gave up and called her what she wants to be called just so that I don't get banned. Weird as fuck, how could these people function in real life is beyond me. It's so exhausting. The dumbest thing was that genders and LGBTQ+ things were almost completely unrelated to the original topic which was about programming.

Yep. She wanted validation so much and she was acting completely insane just to get it, she tried every way and was very pushy. It's stupid that we are pressured to support whatever this is so that we keep talking on the platform, I wasn't even offensive to her, I just ignored her as she was telling more and more about respecting her nonsensical identity and pronouns while I was just trying to make a point about something almost completely unrelated and leave.

The best treatment for these people is to stop giving in.
