Even straight couples don't need a dominant and a submissive partner, believe it or not men and women can see eachother as equals and in the modern day often do. It's literally mostly a thing from crappy romance novels or equivalent, real relationships are more complicated than a one-dimensional power hierarchy. These people live in a postmodern fantasyland in their own heads where media is more real than real life.

It's pretty hard for me to believe that. Just look at Pornhub right now for example, the top trending searches currently are "ukraine" "ukrainian" and "ukrainian girl".

A mere couple days after the start of a terrible invasion, and all men can think about is fantasies of taking advantage of vulnerable Ukrainian women. Clearly a whole lotta men don't even see women as fellow human beings, let alone equals. It's pretty clear domination + control is exactly what a large percentage of them want, kinksters/kweers aren't just pulling this idea out of nowhere.

You say this ignoring the entire yaoi community largely populated by women has tons of very fucked up fantasies that rely on abuse and control. Women fetishizing this element in sex and are often incredibly active in BDSM communities. This is not exclusive to straight men if that is what you are implying.

Even when you go to gay male scenes they have tons of fiction dedicated to the same topic. Just see the Bara community which is drawn porn aimed at men and often has a ton of non consent that is fetishized. People blame just straight women for these aspects in gay male relationships in certain media but it's pretty prevalent even in stuff aimed at guys. I don't know much about lesbian targeted erotica but everyone else consumes sexual content around these topics. It's not because the "evil straights" corrupted everything. Stuff like yaoi and omegaverse is partially a product of this too. Kink and taboo sexual elements were long tolerated even before trans issues got dominance. Honestly the need to break taboos probably relates to some biological/psychological aspect in some people but I am hardly educated on the reason why kinks form scientifically.

As for the Ukraine case yeah that is messed up but it has more to do with people trivializing a very real event. Social media hasn't helped with plenty of people from different walks of life posting the most inane sociopathic stuff. You have people who fetishized ISIS, snuff etc I am not shocked they did that too. It's not exclusive to sexuality to gender either. Frankly straight/bi women are in large probably the main market for a lot of non con erotica (seen plenty of fucked up stuff targeted to them). The need to break taboos for some goes too far to the point it's pretty tasteless.

Still honestly if you are saying it's hard to believe men in general don't see women as equals in the modern Western World you probably shouldn't source pornhub of all things or even social media at large.

Really good answer. It's a collective effort to make this world as fucked up as possible frankly (lol). What is bothersome is not the kink itself imo (well it depends on the kink I guess...), is that people clame that it's all fiction and that it stays in the fantasy world but we've often seen more than once that it clearly wasn't the case. So... I don't even know how we're supposed to regulate all this shit or spread awareness. And "bannishing" everything porn related isn't even considerable, at least not from my point of view.

It depends you have to have a healthy disconnect from what is actually going on. We have groups that are against alcoholism and you have to have the same message to people who get addicted to any "vice good" and that includes porn or sex at large. Vast majority of people are able to keep a healthy disconnect but you have lots of people where it consumes their entire life.

I mean since this is the topic of the sub reddit I do in large feel that while there is actual gender dysphoria most trans people really just have an AGP fetish or whatever the equivalent would be for women. They are taking it too far though encroaching on others comfort or destroying their own bodies with life changing hormones. The vast majority of fetishes people want to keep to fantasizing in their head or the bedroom in a safe environment.

Most people in these non consent communities in large also have a disconnect and don't want to hurt their partner. That said of course you have people who actually have power trips or are abusive that prey in it too.
