(I have no idea how it works in either of their heads because it aligns neither with reality nor trans delusion.)

Was going to say, that really doesn't make sense either according to reality or according to gender identity beliefs.

I'm tempted to call that "cultural appropriation."

On one hand, I’m glad they’re with each other and leaving gays and lesbians alone. On the other, I cannot fathom how utterly fucking stupid our timeline is.

I completely agree, and I feel you. It's been making me feel depressed lately, stuff like this. Nobody wants to actually listen to gay/bisexual voices, they just have this idea in their heads of what "q*eer culture" is, "what those gays do/are like," and want to play dress up in order to "identify with" gay/bisexual people. According to the popular narrative in mainstream media, being same sex attracted means you have a certain haircut, you say certain phrases or hold certain political beliefs-- none of which has anything to do with the fact of loving people of the same sex as yourself.

Sorry to sound so negative lol, it just makes me feel a little hopeless to see people act like this and have (apparently) nobody care that such stereotypes harm people in minority groups. I've never heard someone call it "gayface" or "lesbianface" or "bisexualface" before, but that's kind of what I think of when I hear of or see straight people LARPing like this.

It’s always been this way, but now it’s much worse because the social and political beliefs you are “supposed to” hold are so toxic.

"Womanface" is making the rounds on Twitter currently.
