Thought this is an important example of "colonization" of LGB spaces because the very idea of "pride flags" is tied to LGB communities. So even if "Pride" events become swamped by kink enthusiasts and there aren't even any LGB people there anymore, WE'RE still going to get the blame for their actions.

I know the slippery slope is a hated term because of its use by religious groups but there is some truth to it. The article calls it a fallacy yet here we are.

The solution to the slippery slope is acknowledging it and having strict boundaries on what is to be changed. The fundamental thinking that led to the T overtaking LGB spaces is on full display by some of our own readers here and shows little sign of abating.

If you refuse to address the underlying problem (that progressivism is a trash fire) then the symptoms will never go away.

Progressive ideology like equity vs equality. The idea that only men, especially white men, are the problem in society. Capitalism being A the system we currently have in place (vs corporatism which can arguably be called fascism, not to be conflate with nazi ideology) and B a big problem if you accept that we live in a capitalistic society. "Green" energy being the solution and that CO2 emitting are the best way to tackle climate change.

There are more examples than this but I dont have time to go into more depth. The point is that these ideas are all intertwined with the idea that western civilization is bad and need to be supplanted. And no fighting for gay rights is not a destruction of western society. One could argue it's a return to the basics of that society.

The gay rights movement was overtaken by new world order types who sold the idea that in order for gays to be equal, extreme changes had to be made to society that had nothing to do with equality. The fact is gay right came through the system (if arguably way to long) not outside of it.
