I think it is just a couple of individuals rather than a reflection of the entire group.

I believe that there is a massive problem with people not realising that there is an inherent difference between objective sexual orientation and subjective sexual identity. That people can identify as what they want regardless of inherent reality of what they are (political lesbians etc).

Other people here are scapegoating bisexuals for this and how this plays into the hands of the TRAs, but in reality this disconnect can hurt bisexuals just as much as Gays and Lesbians (i.e. gays falsely identifying as bisexuals making bi people look fake and in denial).

I agree. I mean, some of the bi guys on AGB shit me to tears but that's because of their ignorance about what "same-sex attraction" actually means, not because they're bisexual.

Completely agree with your points. Especially this:

I believe that there is a massive problem with people not realising that there is an inherent difference between objective sexual orientation and subjective sexual identity. That people can identify as what they want regardless of inherent reality of what they are (political lesbians etc).

Humans are fickle, often uninformed, and susceptible to social peer pressure and influence. There are some contexts in which there is real immediate benefit for, say, an actually-straight person to identify as LGB... an actually-LG person to identify as bisexual... an actually-bisexual person to identify as LG... etc. Speaking honestly about the realities of these contexts and the people who act this way, may help us as a community be able to navigate those situations. I don't see any use in minimizing them or dismissing them and saying "Those basically never happen," when there's a lot of evidence that they do happen.

Funny story. I once went through the comments of a user who was "in the process" of becoming bisexual. Pretty fervent anti-feminism mgtow. They thought a few years of getting high on weed while viewing ever-escalating porn from transsexuals to cross-dressers to "actual men" would do the trick eventually. So they wouldn't "need" any women.

I mean, there are probably plenty of bi mgtows out there who are the ones getting these poor sods' hopes up about "sexual fluidity" in their own myopic ideological fervency.
