Weird how so many people with this interest gravitate toward queer stuff considering it’s rarely present in anime/JRPGs/etc. It’s like... if there’s a cute anime girl Japan wants to be with her and the US wants to become her lol

Interesting observation. Japan and some other east asian countries can more accept 'cute' interests for both sexes and associate it less with gender expression. In many other countries including the US, Masculine usually means Hard and Ugly; And Feminine means Soft and Cute(And god forbid you should ever compliment another man's looks because that's deemed high soft). So if you like watching cute stuff and characters in anime and you're not feminine in other ways that means you be some gender-bending queerio and so you must then support the full gamut of gender ideology to not be a hypocrite.
