You’ve brought up a good point about kids not getting attention from their parents. Children need to bond with their parents. A tablet or a television screen is not supposed to substitute a parent. Parents should spend at least one hour a day with their children, and on the weekends, devote half the day to their children. In fact, it benefits the children if one of the parents stayed at home, though too bad that’s a luxury because of the way the economy has been structured - both capitalism and communism suck, let’s try something else.

Schools are definitely terrible. Which is why either one of the parents need to stay home, or the grandparents should be the primary caregivers. That way, someone in the child’s family can have the time to ask the child what he or she learned at school, and then confront the school or pull the child out of school. Teachers have way too much power, they need to be reigned in. Unfortunately, children are property of the state nowadays. It shouldn’t be this way. Homeschool your kids if you can. If you can’t, keep tabs on what you’re children are learning. And if a teacher "diagnoses" your child of having ADD or ADHD, DO NOT put your child on Ritalin or any of that other poison. Your child simply does not pay attention in class because it’s boring, and because children, especially boys, learn more by doing practical things than they do sitting in a stuffy classroom for six hours.

And yes, children and teenagers are getting way too spoiled. But this won’t last forever. The world economy is going to crash and a world war can happen. After which point children won’t have the luxury of being able to go on tumblr all the time, because they will be too busy helping their families and communities rebuild society. Plus, hopefully people will realise where we went wrong, and make it socially unacceptable for minors under 18 to have smartphones, or social media accounts without parental monitoring.
