That's weird and disturbing. I think kids should be aware of same-sex attraction in an age-appropriate manner. Key phrase, AGE APPROPRIATE. Such as, parents telling kids that just like men and women get married, two men and two women can also get married. Or that some boys get crushes on boys, and some girls get crushes on girls. That it's ok for a boy to want to hold hands with another boy as much as it's okay to hold hands with girls. Stuff like that.

Anything that has to do with sex? Absolutely not, at least not until middle school/high school sex ed, and even then I think it's debatable.... given that kids are uncomfortable with and make fun of heterosexual sex ed enough as it is, it may be even more humiliating for a closeted gay/bi child to go through sex ed explaining the mechanics of gay sex. And I also don't even think "sexual orientation" or "same-sex attraction" should be mentioned until then. Let children be children, good god folks.
