Don't believe the press. It's BS. And "Drag Kings" are barely a blip in the scene. Not all drag queens are gay, btw. Drag isn't new.

It's most often misogyny by males via makeup and a dress. The very basis of drag is that everyone KNOWS it's a male doing "womanface". It's a performance by men for men, and women are the "joke", the OBJECT to be belittled. 99.5% of Drag isn't gender bending, it's women-mocking. It's reinforcing a social hierarchy where women are at the bottom of society. (F hierarchical thinking!)

Why is it cute or funny or entertaining for men to mock both women's talent and oppression via drag? Why is it not considered to be a form of cultural appropriation, but with regard to oppressive gender stereotypes? Drag is another "twist of the dagger" of stereotypes oppressing women. Why hasn't Drag died out yet? Seriously. If women were supposedly equal now, why isn't drag history? Because it's men dragging on women, and men like to do that.
