There are a lot of parallels for me with Britney Spears' meltdown. It reaches a point at which people have to stop looking and laughing and recognize that there's some serious underlying mental health issues involved. It's impossible to ignore the physical frailty, as well as Page's long history of emotional outbursts and assertions of persecution (remember the interviews she gave in defence of Jussie Smollett?). It's just tragic that a maladjusted coping mechanism is being celebrated and that she'll likely never get the help she truly needs.

As others have pointed out, she likely has a history of trauma. I imagine Hollywood is the worst place for a gender non conforming lesbian, as female sexuality is currency and one essentially has to learn to perform for the male gaze to be successful.
