I highly doubt a large portion of the "aromantic community" isn't just a bunch of immature people with emotional issues or trauma that refuse to allow themselves to become attached and want to act like they're perfectly normal. I've had sex with people I have no romantic attraction to, but I don't ask for a special label because of it. If anything, I hope people DON'T label me because of it, because they would probably choose something along the lines of 'slut.'

Personally the only reason I even identify as aromantic at all is because TQ+ get angry if you think asexuality is complete disinterest in people both sexually and romantically. So I am forced to specify I am asexual and aromantic, so some special people can claim asexuality while dating the other people (and fucking them, lol).

But if someone is like... heterosexual and aromantic then it's bullshit. They just like one night stands.

Unfortunately, the way that hey have executed this idea is just another way for straight people to claim that they're LGBT+. Even if there are people who would legitimately benefit from this, they are outnumbered by hoes who now get to cry bigotry every time someone calls them out for it

This is my biggest problem when I was introduced to the concept of asexuality being a spectrum and romantic orientations. Easy for confused straight teens to claim LGBT card. No wonder some people are even seeking this identification since all they hear is how "cishets" are evil, not cool, boring etc. This is another toxic mindset, which actually harms LGB people and confused people.
