I still don't know why. I'm going to try to access my burner email to see if they sent me a message.

They could have gotten rid of me for a number of reasons, but I also had shelves for "female authors" and "male authors" and categorized people according to their biological sex. Many some of the authors were offended and reported me. Who knows. I shouldn't be surprised, I guess, but I'm just so upset. I'm still shaking. All that research down the drain.

<3 I'm sorry.

Thank you. I'll survive, but I wish there was some way to retrieve my shelves. Does any tech savvy person know to access them? They were publicly available on Goodreads. There must be a cached version somewhere.

Archive.org!

edit - nope. I checked all 3 links and they're not archived. Google cache is no help either.

It says none of them were archived, unfortunately.

While I was looking through google cache, I found this:

(search applecat) they definitely targeted you.

One of the authors was definitely offended.

Ughhhh. Please fast-forward me to the era where this pronoun shit will be over!

If you ever do make lists again, just give them really stupid names like "AwEsOmE tWaNs BoOks UwU" so that you don't get banned again... I guess. It looks like the era where authors let readers have their safe-space is over. This girl isn't even published yet and she's already mobilizing her internet-army to attack anyone who dares criticize her pervert book that promotes gender bullshit to children.

I'm not going to create another Goodreads account, but I am going to rebuild my list and disseminate it on gender critical sites. I want people to be aware of what's out there. They can't silence us, no matter how hard they try.

Goodreads is owned by amazon so it was likely to happen eventually. I’m sorry your work is lost, with any luck maybe some other gendercrit users have the lists of their own that are similar. Ultimately we all need to stop thinking of these services as public, archive all of your own papers. Save your own copies of things worthwhile by you and others you care for their words. Print them out, it sounds ridiculous but this is how things can eventually be given to archives.

From her Twitter

Idk if they're planning anything, but just be vigilant.

Wtf are you supposed to be planning? An insurrection?

Jesus, no differing opinion allowed.

And they are falling all over her telling her how sorry they are for her. You did bugger all.

Felix Ever After meets Becky Albertalli in this swoon-worthy, heartfelt rom-com about how a transgender teen’s first love challenges his ideas about perfect relationships. Noah Ramirez thinks he’s an expert on romance. He has to be for his popular blog, the Meet Cute Diary, a collection of trans happily ever afters.

And this interview

And for me, Noah’s transness is actually very close to home. I’m transmasc myself, and while Noah is binary trans, I find his identity is actually very closely tied to my own

It's based on her, no wonder she she had a panic attack at the thought of a critical mind going through it.

I know, it's so ridiculous. What on earth could I be planning? Not to mention I hadn't even rated her book. It hasn't come out yet, and I don't rate something unless I've read it. All I did was put it on my want-to-read shelf and catalogued it, in my view, appropriately.

Why was she scanning to see what shelves the book was on in the first place? I didn't suppose authors were so obsessive as to go through the pages and pages of readers' shelves. Like most of these women who've transed themselves, she seems very young. I'd feel sorrier for her if she wasn't grooming the next generation.

Beyond anything else, their self-obsession is so BORING.

I even had my profile only available to Goodreads users.

I had no idea anyone would notice a tiny account like mine. The only thing I did there was shelve and rate books. And unlike some, I never rated a book I had not read.
