This "Connor" person writes like a pissed off, screechy woman. It's funny how they claim to have "manbrain grrr!" or "delicate ladybrain" but you can usually tell their sex by how they write and speak. I can't put my finger on what the difference is, but it's a loud difference

I would guess it's the distinction between insults and threats. I think a lot of FTM resort to insults and slurs (especially f----t), whereas MTF resort to threats of violence and r--e. Both are vile, but it creates distinct genres of malice.

That's a great observation! It's true, insults vs threats are a world of difference. I feel like it's something else too though, like word choice and sentence style. It's weird. Like I used to love fanfiction, and could always tell if a story was written by a man or woman. Same way I can usually tell when a woman character is written by a man, and I'm guessing men can tell the same about men characters written by women. It's just different in some way! I don't know what it is!

There's definitely word diction and syntactical differences as well. I just don't the heart in me to go back through the "boxer ceiling" and "let the L out" photo albums to try and figure them out lol.

There's probably a way to use some of those word choice and frequency analysis tools to get some data out of it, but IDK how to do that—it'd be interesting if someone would though

Of, Machine Learning could probably do it, but not in a way we’d ever figure out... that could probably be done fairly easily, actually.

Oh I 100% agree. Reading through those threads is like poison for the mind. They're really corrosive. The first time I read through the entire "get the L out" thread, I stayed in bed the whole next day. I wanted to send the thread to a friend irl b/c we were talking about JK Rowling, and I didn't have the heart to send it to her. It's too awful.

Ohhhhh yeah. I was arguing about TRA’s with a straight guy and I sent him the boxer ceiling link (which had taken me like four days of obsessive reading to complete). He - of course - said he’d read all of it five minutes after I’d sent it. Just amazes me how much people will lie to avoid seeing what they don’t want to see...
