I can imagine the thought process that went into this joke. "Don't ask don't tell was for the gays... Okay so... Tuck... That's something they do on RuPaul's Drag race right? Aren't those people trans? (toss in here the fact that most of these writers probably still have no fucking clue what trans is really) I got it! Don't ask, don't tuck! HARHARHARHAR!!!!" and then cue the surprised Pikachu reaction when half the audience doesn't get the joke, and the other half is like "...Oh." And the screeching minority is like OMG TWANSPHOBIA CANCEL SNL BAWWWWWW!!!

(If you don't know about RuPaul's DragRace, I haven't watched in a long while but they used to talk A LOT about having to tuck their eggs and sausage up to make their crotch area look flat for their costumes.)

But the joke doesn't even make sense if you think about it for more than two seconds because... (I'm just staring at my screen right now like... Oh God, I don't even want to over-analyze or explain this! That's how stupid it is.) Asking and tucking have nothing to do with each other. You're just supposed to hear the word 'tuck,' think of drag queens, and laugh mindlessly.
