When I went to the Vagina Monologues in ~2013 for extra credit on my college campus they included a story about a middle aged lesbian getting a 13 year old girl in her car to ""teach"" her and it was portrayed as a beautiful lesbian awakening.

Honestly I've discovered in the past decade that the world is absolutely crawling with pedophile adjacents that just don't have a big problem with it that enable all this shit, and you have no idea until you confront them. So when this stuff crosses their desk they just don't feel any urgent need to stop it. The number of websites that have rebuffed my reports of pedophilic content and people that have treated me like a prude for objecting, and think it's just a reasonable extreme fetish that they don't believe these pedo communities would "really" act on is truly enormous. The world is a lot worse than we thought it is.

Something that is particularly disturbing is the fact that the sex positivity movement is being turned into a regressive "anything a protected class does is okay" movement, where straights are actually buying into the gay pedophile stereotype but think they're being woke rather than hateful by doing so. Like they actually believe gay people are born sexually precocious or into a hardwired top/bottom dichotomy so they can't rape each other. It's chilling and I feel like every time I see society make one step forward it's three steps back.

The sad part is that this messes people up so bad. In the wake of the various church scandals we've finally started to help people come out about this stuff and get help / compensation. Prior to that there was an attitude of "you just don't talk about that stuff", "take it on the chin" etc. I feel like this is the woke regression to those attitudes.

This is a book which talks about a six year old being raped and being too young to understand the implications of boundaries being crossed. No six year old 'performs' oral 'sex' on someone else and LIKES IT.

And this one needed it decades ago, instead of being bounced around from foster home to foster home and eventually transing. His premature 'growing up' reminds me of the movie Mysterious Skin, probably with a similar causes.

I don't even have words for how vile this is. I fucking hate this '100% acceptance, 100% of the time' culture we live in. I looked up this book to see if it had been banned, and all I could find was an article where an organization concerned about this passage was described as 'right wing anti trans'.

So anyone rightfully concerned about an account of a CHILD being sexually promiscuous must be right wing? Seriously!?

There's another bit about it on Goodreads where a reviewer says while the author doesn't glorify it outright, she fails to condemn it or contextualize these accounts for what they are: child abuse and sexual assault.

People want Harry Potter banned (again), but they don't give a shit about a young gay/trans kid potentially stumbling upon this book with passages like this.

That book isn't new either. They've been shoving it at minors in schools since like 2016.
