I just got an e-mail this morning from LGB Alliance USA. The subject was "FACT SHEET ON SEX-BASED RIGHTS AND GENDER IDENTITY". I wanted to forward this to my son, but could not - "The response from the remote server was: 554 5.7.1 Spam detected by content scanner. Message rejected." I actually had to edit the subject line to successfully forward!

I have been a Feminist & Gay Rights activist since the 70s, my entire adult life. I did not fight to lose our Women-only spaces, our sports, our very legal recognition, to MEN who "feel" like women. Suddenly, I am faced with not being able to stand 100% with Amnesty International, the ACLU, Southern Poverty Law Center & even the bloody MS foundation! I bought the 1st issue of Ms. & now its foundation is headed by a MAN!

I only recently became aware of the TRA. I became aware when i found myself horrified by the vitriol against Rowling - it PROVED to me these MtFs were MEN! I have become very saddened to be shut down, directly & indirectly for questioning the TRA in my circle. My best female friend shut down a conversation, for trying to talk about Abigail Shrier's book "Irreversible Damage" (I was depressed for days). I must now avoid this topic or lose my friend.

I feel quite isolated, so I'm grateful for this space.

What you said about being shut down resonated with me. One of my closest friends, whenever I bring up anything "verboten" or remotely critical of this gender special shit, literally shuts down and redirects the convo. She literally nods, stares out into space and then switches the topic. It's fucking harrowing. She's brainwashed. You can almost hear the alarms going off in her head. It's like something out of 1984 or maybe Westworld when the androids/robots/whatever their name is see a picture of the outside world and parrot mindlessly, "doesn't look like anything to me."

Notice how we're all talking about our female friends... Seriously what's the deal with them? They're carrying this trans movement like they're ushering in the new king.

Women internalize misogyny to the point where they end up coerced into upholding the patriarchy, as tumblr-y as that sounds. Just look at who upholds and carries out a lot of misogynistic traditions in the world. In parts of Africa, it is the women who carry out FGM on little girls. In Islam, it is the mother and the female relatives who punish the daughter for not wearing her hijab or wearing it improperly, (nothing wrong with wearing a hijab--so long as it is a personal choice. If a woman wears it due to fearing retaliation from her community, it is no longer a fucking choice). In countless other cultures, the mother favors her sons over her own damn daughters as well as putting the needs of her husband first. And in the USA, it is the women ("handmaidens") who uphold the farce that TWAW.

No, I'm not a woman hater; in fact I am one myself. And of course men are complicit too, no doubt. But these are just some observations I've noted.

Unfortunately, it is being murdered yet again by groups of mysandrist women who destroy the credibility that real, equality seeking feminists worked so hard over generations to build.

Nowadays, when someone hears the word "feminist" they think of a screeching TRA with dyed hair who wants all men (the ones that identify as such, anyway) to die in a fire so women can inherit the world. It is a shame that this is what the public image of a movement that started to secure equal rights and opportunities has become

I'm pretty sure the screeching harpy feminist stereotype goes alllllll the way back to the Reagan era. It all started as a mudslinging campaign, propaganda meant to damage the movement. And look at the damage it's done. It's 2021 and feminists are still viewed by the public as this caricature--only now with neon hair.

Oh the screeching harpy feminist stereotype goes all the way back to the suffragettes, seriously. They were really, really hated by so many people. Rowling's treatment by the press, and people framing feminists as "hysterical harpies" for worrying about women and children's rights and safety reminds me of the treatment of the suffragettes. The problem now is TRAs hijacked the feminist movement, are actually screeching harpies, and now are the face of the movement.

I don't personally see the point in immediately bringing up how men are the real victims as soon as I mention feminism. You're not wrong in what you say, it just seems a bit uncouth.

ive noticed they always spout the same information an words over and over. they just repeat the cult think. i was asking my friends opinion on males in female prisons and this was her fuckin response "LGBT persons suffer discrimination, abuse, and violence more than straight people. Our CJS is flawed, but isn’t it meant to correct a criminal behavior? Sexual & gender identity isn’t criminal behavior. Detaining them in a prison that matches their identity is more in line w/ rehabilitation vs violence & abuse on top of punishment."

i'd say don't ever stop speaking the truth, losing friends is just a part of speaking truth in this era. its horrible and you are NEVER alone.
