Not only that, r/lgb was bullied into being privatised, r/rightwinglgbt was banned, r/rightwinglgb was banned, and other gay-centric subs are being taken over (lesbian subs, AGB, etc). Just remember that the internet is not real life, and most people are not obsessed over this stuff. It's just what reddit has become.

A point that is lost on far too many people. I have to keep reminding myself of this.

Just remember that the internet is not real life, and most people are not obsessed over this stuff. It's just what reddit has become.

That's not true though? It's literally spilling over to real life where people can be cancelled, fire, banished from real life communities and jobs. Heck, women private spaces are getting affected too. I'd be fine if it was just contained online, but it's absolutely spilling over :/

It's true, the internet has an effect on real life, but for example, reddit is not a representation of the world, or even just a small piece of it. It's just the quality of person that the site attracts. Though because of this I think tech jobs are becoming some of the worst to get into.
